Who Am I?
I'm Kimberly Banta; a creative soul, a baby boomer, Mom of two, and wife of one.
With a degree in Speech and Drama, I didn't do too much with it until jumping into the commercial acting profession over 24 years ago.
I am (and play) the "real" type average person. Sincerity (illusion or otherwise) is my strong suit. In between shoots and voice-overs, (and there is QUITE A BIT of "in-between",) I love to help people tweak their living spaces with creative decor ideas.
Online Favorites
My favorite spots online are geared toward decorating and crafting of home decor.
Each time I log on to a favorite site it serves to keep me learning, and therefore "earning" new and creative techniques, tips and resource areas that I love to pass on to clients.
I'm sort of a hub for ideas and resources that others can take and make their own, creating in turn a space that's cozy, serene. Their own.
My Interests
Duh! As you now know; Decorating, Crafting, Acting, Gardening. (o.k. You didn't know about that last one, but I just wanted to see if you were paying attention.)
I've been told by a psychic, more than once, that I should be writing. I feel that, and have written a few short stories and such, but haven't pushed forward with it. Three children's manuscripts reside in my drawer, along with a few rejection slips.
Maybe in 2005.
Creative Photography is also in my blood. No, photos don't come oozing out if I cut myself, but rather, I am always snapping, scanning, hand-coloring, manipulating, matting and framing, then passing along artsy images to a loved one or friend or two.
Life is too short to have tunnel vision. I want to experience most of all the good that life has to offer, learn as much as my brain allows and share as much as others want me to share.
I think we all want to have mattered.
I've recently gotten into machine embroidery, in a big way!
